Happy August! I’m Devon Potter, the Asset Development Coordinator here at the Foundation. Each day I am privileged to assist community members in understanding what the needs are in our region, and help them fulfill their dream of creating a fund that will support the areas of focus that are important to them. I work with professional advisors to help educate them on the benefits of charitable giving, so they may have better conversations with their clients. And I get to learn from the agencies who are doing the “on the ground” important work in our region. The icing on the cake for me though, is that I get to do it all with the most collaborative, enthusiastic and awe inspiring team.
Having moved to Grande Prairie at a young age, I’ve enjoyed watching this community grow and have immense gratitude for how it embraced and welcomed my family. When I’m not at work you’ll find me enjoying one of my favourite past times, which include; acting, hiking, running, volunteering, enjoying a lovely meal with friends and family, cooking/baking, and reading.
