Receiving this generous funding is a tremendous help as I pursue my legal education, and I am very grateful for the way the Community Foundation has decided to invest in my life. Throughout my Bachelor of Science Degree, I was able to work part-time to support myself but the increased pressure of studying for my Juris Doctor has made part-time employment unfeasible. This, combined with the significant cost of tuition for a legal education have greatly added to my financial stresses.
This funding helps to reduce my worries over finances, which allows more focused time in my schedule to successfully study and contribute to my student body via clubs and volunteering.
