“With four years of my undergraduate degree complete and another four years to go, it is a relief to have some of the financial burden of school taken care of,” she says.
Sandboe completed the first two years of her degree at Grande Prairie Regional College before transferring to the University of Alberta. Next year she will begin working toward her Doctor of Optometry degree.
“This award has impacted my post-secondary journey by providing me with the financial support to allow me to focus on my studies and achieve my goal of becoming an optometrist,” says Sandboe.
