Spirit Seekers Youth Conference

Through the Spirit Seekers Youth Conference project, they were able to bring together over two hundred youth from across northern Alberta, BC, NT, and SASK. Through their belief of “for youth, by youth” motto, they created a committee of thirteen Indigenous youth who guided the event planning process from start to finish. This event gives community members (aging from 18-68) to volunteer and learn about cultural teachings in a safe manner.

The next event is in March 2020 and they are accepting volunteers for the event. Community Foundation employees helped with volunteering in 2019 and found it very rewarding and informative. Follow this link to volunteer – https://spiritseekersyouth.wordpress.com/volunteers-wanted/

This project was made possible by the Community Impact Fund. You can make a difference in our community – not only for today but forever. When you make a donation to the Community Impact Fund, we invest that gift into a permanent endowment fund and the original gift is never spent. Earnings from your gift are distributed in our community to support all needs in the community.  Donations can be made online here – https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/38163 or by calling the Community Foundation at (780) 538-2820.
