Reimagining Community Together – December 2022

With the holiday season upon us, we are feeling truly grateful for what has been a fast-paced but impactful year!  2022 saw significant impact across Northwestern Alberta, along with opportunities to finally reconnect with so many of you!

Please watch our social media reels showcasing some important highlights over the past year, which can be found here.  Together with our staff team, Board of Directors, committee volunteers, and fund holders we have weaved philanthropy and community support together in so many ways!  We connected, learned, and inspired change!

Watch for updates on the upcoming Community Service Recovery Fund (CSRF) launching January 6th, where we look forward to supporting our region’s agencies through federal funding.  We have many other new exciting plans for 2023 and look forward to partnering with you to affect change and build our communities. 

Toronto Foundation is proud to be working with community foundations across Canada as part of the Community Services Recovery Fund, a $400 million investment from the Government of Canada to support charities and nonprofits as they focus on how to adapt their organizations for pandemic recovery. Important dates:

·     January 6, 2023: Application portal opens and additional resources are shared 

·     January 12, 2023: Information session and Q&A on how to apply. Register now.

Although we will be taking a short break from December 24th – 27th to celebrate the holidays, our staff team will be available to assist with your year-end donations from December 28th until December 30th at 3pm.  If you aren’t sure where to direct your support, we can help with connecting you to causes in our community that align with your priorities.
