Nolan is attending University of Alberta and taking Engineering. He received funding from the 2000 Alberta Summer Games Legacy Fund.
“This funding has helped me by assisting in providing the means to reach my academic goals. I have always wanted to pursue a career in engineering and earning this award will help me to achieve that. I am so grateful for this award, and look forward to the opportunities that my post secondary education will provide me with. This funding will help me to pay for books and tuition, which is a blessing I am extremely thankful for. I have been fortunate in my academic journey thus far, and it is thrilling to have the opportunity to continue on that path.
