Fred Rinne Memorial Fund

When the Rinne family began talking about setting up a family fund with the Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta, it was a natural step to giving back to their community.

When Fred passed away at the age of 51 in 2016, Diana and children Caitlyn and Jackson made the decision to commemorate his legacy by establishing the Fred Rinne Memorial Fund with the Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta.

“This is something our dad really believed in strongly,” says Caitlyn. “The foundation offers donors the opportunity to give back in so many ways, whether it’s for a specific cause or a wider scope that puts funding where it is most needed.”

As a legacy, Jackson notes the Fred Rinne Memorial Fund captures his dad’s philosophy of “It’s not what you say, it’s what you do; and it’s not what you make, but what you leave.”

You can make a difference in our community – not only for today but forever. When you make a donation to the Fred Rinne Memorial Fund we invest that gift into a permanent endowment fund and the original gift is never spent. Earnings from your gift are distributed in our community to support all needs in the community. Donations can be made online here – https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/43300 or by calling the Community Foundation at (780) 538-2820.
