We, Tyler and Laura LaValley (nee Moore) started our lives together in 1999 establishing a home north of Bezanson, where we continue to reside with our three children Mason, Carter, and Sierra. Our families have deep pioneering roots in the DeBolt and Bezanson communities. Farming, ranching, logging, and entrepreneurship were parts of our lives growing up, along with the strong sense of community which anchored us to stay in the area as adults.
Building community has been so important to our family, something that was modelled to us and equally important to us to demonstrate to our kids. We have been blessed to be a part of a community that offered so much to our family in friendship and shared purpose to improve access to infrastructure, services, recreational activities, and experiences…a good solid place to raise a family.

Our three children have richly benefited from life in a small town, learning to do by doing, and supported by solid influences from quality teachers, coaches, mentors, and friends during their upbringing. They were actively involved in sporting activities at Bezanson School and Peace Wapiti Academy, annually attended Peace Country Wilderness Camps, long time members of the Bezanson 4H Multi-Club, and participated in various field trips and community projects. We believe in these community programs which have helped shape our family and ground us in community.
To our family, the anchor symbolizes hope, strength and steadfastness. A nod to our pioneer families before us, and our desire for our community. Community is more than a place to live and work, it’s a fellowship of people with common goals and aspirations for wherever you call home. We want to continue to support the needs in rural communities, as they have provided us with so much then, now, and in our future.
